COMU Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology hosted Prof. Dr. Matej Sova from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Ljubljana (SLOVENIA), under the TÜBİTAK International Bilateral Cooperation Program. Both Universities have been working for a while on a Project entitled:
"Evaluation of Antimicrobial Activities of Natural and Synthetic Cinnamic Acid Derivatives Against Human and Fish Pathogens and Potential Use as Additives in Fish Feed".
During the study visit, development process in the laboratory and project outcomes were evaluated.
In the evaluation meeting held on the last day of the study visit under the presidency of ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt ERENOĞLU, Prof. Dr. Matej SOVA stated that he would be pleased to continue new project work within the scope of the Agreement to be signed between ÇOMÜ and the University of Ljubljana.
Project Leader, Prof. Dr. Sebahattin ERGÜN also stated that the partnership of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology of ÇOMÜ will continue the Interdisciplinary Research on Fish and Human Health and Food Safety in 2025 and will continue to contribute to ÇOMÜ with Innovative and Multidisciplinary projects.
